Loads of space, comfortable and clean.
Great care, felt very looked after, couldn't fault them on anything. Great experience.
I had the most wonderful experience when recently delivering my twins at Sunderland. The care and attention i received when pregnant has been excellent and the professional attitude of the staff has been great.
During my labour I was listened to and my opinion was asked of at all time. All members of staff i dealt with explained everything and made sure i understood the impact of their and my decisions on my health and the babies. The atmosphere was always calm an I felt like I was in the best hands at all time. The room I delivered in was clean and well resourced. The facilities in the room also meant my partner felt comfortable.
Thank you ever so much for taking care of me and my 2 babies and supporting me endlessly in a very vulnerable part of my pregnancy.
Attention from staff in the day unit was excellent. The consultant Mr Hinchshaw and midwifery staff on the Friday were second to none.
Explained everything and answered questions about my c section concerns putting me more at ease.
Post op care excellent.
No concerns or criticisms
i went to walking centre at pallion health centre on 09/08/2018 and just want to say i was happy with anybody like nurse practisioner and doctor but the receptionist attitude was absoloutly terrible , the way she was talking or the body language was un acceptable , the time was about 2.30 pm , i don,t know who was she and what was her problem but that was disgusting. i took my sister in low to the walking centre and i was talking behalf of her because she was speaking limited English.
"Bedrooms" are lovely have everything you need for yourself baby and partner, staff are always at hand if needed. Baby well monitored.
Attended Pallion Road Clinic for a suspected DVT on a Sunday morning and was attended too within a short space of time. After seeing the nurses there, they took blood samples and from the results referred me to the Royal Hospital the following day for a scan. This took place and revealed that I did not have a DVT but probably a torn or ruptured muscle.
I was impressed with the standard of care and attention I was given and treated with the utmost respect which really was outstanding.
As far as I can see, and my experience, I cannot fault anything that took place.
Hospitals and the NHS get a bad press, but I was amazed at the level of service I experienced and congratulate each member of the staff I came into contact with.
Keep up the good work and best wishes to everyone.
Sincerely yours. James Hughes
I was brought into the ward by ambulance and was really worried that we’d lost the baby. The staff were just fantastic. They reassured us straight away and gave me a fantastic birth experience. We felt comfortable supported and cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better service.
After five days on the ward, i was moved to the delivery suite and once again was so impressed by the facilities and the staff that I met.
Mrs Ahmed ensured we had everything we needed and for the 12 hours it took to deliver, we had three midwives who were just wonderful.
Sophie offered exactly what we needed to ensure the first stages of labour were calm and we had all of the information we needed.
Deb then took over who offered a wonderful attitude and a nature which made every stage feel worthwhile and worked hard to ensure we moved safely towards our delivery.
Nichola then took over who worked with such professionalism to ensure our little boy was delivered safely and i had all of the care I needed.
From the delivery we were then cared for by Danielle for two days who answered all of the silly questions that we had without a flicker of worry and gave us every minute we needed to ensure we were ready to go home.
Sunderland hospital is an outstanding facility and one I would recommend to everyone.
